Summary/Abstract: Bazyli Pietruczuk’s autobiography is the main source of subjects discussed in his literary work. The author of the article analyzes his autobiography “Okruchy”. The writer presents his childhood memories full of pain, mischief and injustice. The picture of anti-childhood becomes pretext to consider the influence of surroundings on the way personality is formed.
