Summary/Abstract: The threshold, the border draws our acts and lives. Philosophically, freedom can only be defined under the existence of the limit. As a principle of organization, the limit explains the identity of things and the existence of the universe. A world without boundaries is a world of pre-existence. To set boundaries means to reconfigure ourself as an Entity. The being is a fragment that came out of the unlimited indeterminacy of Nothingness receiving a limit. We have emerged from Nothingness and we tend to return to it. The lack of tension between contrariness within the limits of our being is synonymous with the abolition of the Cosmos, and therefore, with our own oblivion. “A Cosmos is defined precisely by becoming, by movement. (…) Not being conditioned by pairs of contrariness means enjoying absolute freedom, absolute spontaneity.” In order to study the connection between the characters of the Romanian fairy tale and the universe they lived in, we will discuss the “Story of the Pig” by Petre Ispirescu.
