What Do the Words ‘the Third Resistance’ Bring to Mind?

Summary/Abstract: The topic of the anti-communist resistance still incites discussion and polemics. The members of the informal Group for Research into the Anti-communist Resistance in the USTR have therefore prepared a survey and addressed not only experts who have no doubts over the existence of the resistance, but also those historians who do doubt it, not only as part of the discussion. Even though some of them did not respond to the survey, the responses received give us an idea about the position of both parties. Not only when reading and pondering the arguments in these short texts, many readers will realise that understanding the past requires both a knowledge of the resources and their interpretation, and also a debate about it.
