Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the efficiency problem in foreign language teaching. The article presents the results of a students’ survey on the forms and methods for foreign language teaching, as well as on teachers’ didactic and professional competences. It also discusses the students’ attitudes towards the use of modern technologies in foreign language teaching. Students from different fields of study at three universities in Lithuania participated in the survey.
