Summary/Abstract: Although they undoubtedly represent one of the most important works of world literature and are a literary masterpiece, Vergil’s Georgics have never been translated into Serbian. The paper provides the first metrical translation of the book II of the poem, an introduction and an expert commentary, which is essential for reading any of the Ancient Roman literary works.
