Summary/Abstract: Visitor research and correct interpretation of the findings are a prerequisite for sculpting museum production to meet the needs of museum audiences. At present, this approach is absent in Slovak museums, so museums do not know the answer to the question of who their visitors are. The article deals with the issue of visitor research in the conditions of Slovak museums. Attention is focused on defining the possibilities and motifs of obtaining data that convey the wishes, needs and evaluation of the audience. Subsequently, the author focuses on describing individual methods of obtaining relevant information.
