Summary/Abstract: Our paper presents an analysis of Tudor Ionescu‘s original novel « Pantera » din Montparnasse, presented by the editor as a translation, from the point of view of the various ”voices” that a careful reader may identify in the text: the fictitious translator‘s, the writer‘s, the professor‘s, and the translation studies theorist‘s voice. We thus want to highlight the complexity of the task Tudor Ionescu undertook and to infer his underlying objective(s).
