Summary/Abstract: The promise of the obligation or the action of a third party is a legal figure, regulated both in bulgarian law and in foreign legal systems. At present, the study of this legal figure from the bulgarian legal theory has limited itself to an explanation of the problems of the institute in the general courses of law of obligations. The article analyzes the regulation, the definition and the use of the promise of the obligation or the action of a third party.
