Summary/Abstract: In the new history of Bulgaria, the legal institute of the jurors has always existed since 1878, with the exception of the period between the two world wars (1922-1944). Jurors perform an important state and public role, and their involvement in the criminal trial is seen as a guarantee for the fairness and impartiality of this proceedings. This report examines the participation of jurors at first instance criminal trial.
