Summary/Abstract: The Neolithic settlement Boian-Giuleşti Săveni ‘La Cărare’ is located in the southern part of the Ialomiţa River, on the edge of the high terrace near the eastern boundary of the Săveni Village ‘New Quarter’, Ialomiţa County. It was identified following surface archaeological research carried out by a team from the Ialomiţa County Museum in 1991. The extension of the village of Săveni had unfortunate consequences for the prehistoric settlement: the villagers transformed the place into a landfill and a land quarry for household needs. Several archaeological complexes were revealed as a result of some mechanical excavations. Two surface dwellings, an underground dwelling and a pit were found, which are rich in archaeological inventories, predominantly ceramic materials specific to the Boian culture, Giuleşti phase. Tronconic pots, trays, sieves, storage vessels, lids, excised decorated vessels, biconical vessels, pots, bowls, beakers and a clay table represent the ceramic typology. Household tools and utensils include two fragments of flint blades, a fragment of stone chisel, a stone axe and a burnt clay weight. Next to these finds in the archaeological complexes there were fragments of large animal bones, shells and a large amount of adobe, many of which with impressions of wood.
