A CONCEPT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN THE LAST YEARS: AN EVALUATION ON ‘ENERGY DIPLOMACY’

Summary/Abstract: Energy issue has started to take more space in the international relations discipline day by day. Energy, which is the indispensable input of the production process, is very important for the economies of the countries. In particular, the issue of safe supply of energy has been taken into consideration while determining foreign policy strategies. At this point, an area of energy relations between states has been established. This area which is defined as energy diplomacy shows itself in the course of international relations. In this study, the concept of energy diplomacy will be dealt with in detail and the points where it differs from traditional diplomacy will be studied.
