Summary/Abstract: From the historical-diachronic aspect folklore in all stages of its development is based to the universal development of culture accepting as a metasystem of universe. In this meaning the sociological aspect has a deep mutual relation and conditionality between the functions of culture and the functional structure folklore. In the article the functional structure of folklore is investigated from the main functions of culture in science. In the article the theoretical-methodological approaching and theoretical offers of Malinovski are used.
