Summary/Abstract: Introduction: In the modern secularizated european societies, religiousy motivated behaviors are the reason of being perceived as a different and discriminated. Some of religious practices are similar to chosen symptoms of mental disorders. Method: The research process include questing of similarities between chosen religiously motivated behaviors and essential symptoms of mental disfunctions: subjective suffering, difficulties in the interpersonal relations, deformed perception of reality and self, inadequate behaviors. Conclusion: According to religions chosen behaviors are rational. On the other hand the same behaviors can be recognized as symptoms of mental disorders. In the social reception religiously motivated behaviors are evidence of problems with sanity. This society is formed by cultural factors which have an influence on quality of valuation.
