Summary/Abstract: Reconciliation as a process that demands constant reflection on various dichotomies such as public / private, peace / war, we / they, requires a broader perspective beyond the so-called great signifier, in our context ethnically centered. Given the exposure of women to structural forms of violence both in war and in the post-war period as well as in the periods beyond this dyad, gender and feminist discourses broaden horizons and provide demystification of various concepts, phenomena and processes. Activists’ experiences and feminist articulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region point to the complexity of these processes, claiming for universality in differentiated way.
