Summary/Abstract: For the first time in the First World War, propaganda was used effectively and scientifically to guide the views, thoughts and movements of the public. England established a propaganda office during the war and ruled its propaganda activities from a single center both within the country and coordinated outside the country. One of the aims of the British propaganda activities was to bring the neutral countries into war on her side. Especially in those years, the US, which was impartial, became the most intense and active target of British propaganda. England followed the policy of guiding the US public by persuading them about the Armenian persecution in order to join the United States to the Entente States. Propaganda materials prepared for this purpose were distributed in the USA. In addition to these materials, US newspapers were provided with propaganda information produced as a requirement of British politics. In addition, propaganda publications were regularly distributed to churches, priests, politicians, educators, patients, finance and commerce centers.
