Summary/Abstract: This study has been conducted with the purpose of exploring the relationship of the concept of workaholism, as one of the biggest problems and illnesses of the modern society, and the concept of organisational commitment that is thought to have positive effect on positive worker behaviour. The sample of the study consisted of 319 workers from the Banking Sector within Marmara Region. In this study there has been no participant defined as workaholic by themselves. It is probably due to the fact that bank workers generally are in heavy working conditions and hence they are not aware of the working conditions. As a result of this study, the rise in workaholic dimensions seem to be affecting organisational commitment positively. However, regression analysis results show that as affective and normative dimensions of organisational commitment increase, work enjoyment dimension of workaholism also increases and in general terms, organisational commitment affects workaholism positively.
