EL-CÂHIZ VE KİTÂBU’L-BUHALÂ’DAN BİR BÖLÜM ÜZERİNE MÜLAHAZALAR
AL-JAHIZ AND CONSIDERATIONS OF HIS BOOK KITAB AL-BUKHALA

Summary/Abstract: el-Cahız, who had lived between the end of second and middle of the third century, besides of being one of great Arabic language scholar, also he tried to handle almost every problem of society in his works and used his literature to be useful for society, he fought with stinginess, which was prevailing trend in the century he lived, with his own methods. The author describes stingy people of the period with many different pamphlets, stories and anecdotes in his work el-Buhalâ. While doing this, he sometimes makes the stingy to talk or sometimes makes another person who criticize the stingy to talk to his stingy friend or relative that he against. And sometimes, he presents events from his own point of view to his readers. In this article we analyzed a chapter from the work named el-Buhalâ.
