The Influence of the National School Council on the Implementation of the National Educational Model in the Years 1918–1926 (on the Example of the OSK)

Summary/Abstract: W artykule przedstawiono wpływ Rady Szkolnej Krajowej (RSK) na początki tworzenia się państwa i szkolnictwa polskiego oraz wychowania narodowego. Pomimo początkowej niechęci do władz centralnych RSK zarządziła palące zmiany w programach nauczania i obowiązkowe uczestnictwo młodzieży szkolnej w nabożeństwach odprawianych za wolną ojczyznę. Zwracała uwagę, aby w programach i podręcznikach nauczania znalazły się treści i bohaterowie wspomagający narodowy model wychowania. W okresie jej funkcjonowania wydano pierwsze świadectwa z polskim godłem narodowym i przyjęto na trwałe świętowanie ważnych uroczystości rocznicowych – Konstytucji 3 Maja, insurekcji kościuszkowskiej, powstań narodowo-wyzwoleńczych i odzyskania niepodległości – w polskich szkołach. Wpływała na kształtowanie postaw patriotycznych, moralnych i utrwalanie tożsamości narodowej. The article presents the influence of ROC on the beginnings of state formation and Polish education and national education. In spite of the initial reluctance towards the central authorities, the ROC commissions urgent changes in curricula and obligatory participation of school youth in services celebrated as a free homeland. She paid attention to the programs and teaching manuals included content and characters supporting the national model of education. During its operation, the first certificates with the Polish national emblem were issued and permanent celebrations of important anniversary celebrations – the Constitution of May 3, Kościuszko Insurrection, national liberation and independence regains – in Polish schools were adopted. It influenced the shaping of patriotic and moral attitudes and the consolidation of national identity.
