Summary/Abstract: In this paper we present chipped stone assemblage from the site of ŠanacIzba at Lipolist in Western Serbia. Šanac-Izba is an Early Eneolithic mound-like site, damaged in a bit by modern agricultural practices. Based on its physical appearance, it is associated with „Obrovac“ type-sites, that is, the Late Neolithic and Early Eneolithic sites surrounded by ditch and/or rampart, typically distributed in western Serbia. Šanac-Izba is the first excavated site of Obrovactype after several decades. This paper presents initial insight to technology, typology, raw materials, and context of the chipped stone assemblage from the site, discussed through local and regional context. The aim is to offer new pespective in comprehending cultural processes in western Serbia, that is to initiate a discussion on the Obrovac-type sites, and to study cultural processes of interaction and participation in regional cultural network.
