Summary/Abstract: The literature on bilingualism and the soituation of minority-languages shows different approaches. There are many studies on language maintenance and change, and language and attitude change are only a few of them. The aim of this study is to provide a sociolinguistic panorama of domestic and attitudes towards Azerbaijan by looking at the language - preference models of the Azerbaijani - language community in Tehran.
