Summary/Abstract: The present paper focuses on different functions of the Legend of Saint Sisoie, a text included in Codex Sturdzanus and published by B.P.Hasdeu in 1879 (Cuvente den bãtrâni, vol. II). We also intend cu discuss about the various changes the text went through and which offered it the characteristics of oral literature.
