Summary/Abstract: Sexual violence during armed conflicts and in relation to such conflicts is not a new phenomenon, since this kind of behaviour has already been demonstrated by antique evidence, and World War II was no exception. The raping of German women committed by the soldiers of the Red Army has been explored from various angles after decades of silence and disregard. However, the fact that women of various nations who had been imprisoned in concentration camps were among the victims of sexual violence perpetrated by the Allied soldiers is far less known. In this contribution I will explore the recollections of sexual violence of the former prisoners of Ravensbrück, the concentration camp for women.
