Tendencies of monumental public sculpture of Third Polish Republic: A mirror of small and big politics

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents contemporary tendencies which can beseen in Polish monumental public sculpture of last three decades. They are connected with Polish history and especiallynew forms of historical policy, presenting problems avoided byofficial historiography of Poland before 1989. The monumentalpublic sculpture has some features that can be easily noticed,like exaggeration, excess, and weakness of forms, as well as focusing on matters being result of martyrological shape of Polishmemory
