Summary/Abstract: The word “Ijma” means the consensus of prophet Muhammad’s followers upon a religious matter after his death. Ijma is located on the third level out of four in classical methods of fiqh. Ijma is divided in two parts as “sareeh” and “suquti”. Sareeh Ijma is accepted as absolute. In addition to that inside the works of fürû, Ijma does not seem to be obvious. In this work, it will be tried to assess the proofs of Ijma within the perspective of Holy Quran.
