Summary/Abstract: Developing technology has shown its effect in all areas and become compulsory in terms of adapting to today's living conditions. Computers, tablets, smartphones, applications or software are important innovations that facilitate people's living conditions. Technological facilities used in many fields of education also affect music education. The absence of a music workshop in many schools, lack of materials in music workshops and badly-maintained materials in these workshops can prevent the active and effective teaching of music lessons. However, the widespread use of smart boards in today’s world has enabled the use of many music software and virtual instruments, decreased the need for workshops for music lessons and allowed lessons to be taught more effectively. This study focused on how the subjects in music lessons could be taught with music software, how a substructure will be prepared for the songs taught with music software and in what ways smart boards, which are among the important elements of the developing technology, will be used and benefit music lessons. The software exemplified in the study were determined by scanning the software used in studios professionally and included in the resources related to music technology. With Sibelius and Pro Tools, which are the selected music software, it was aimed to use the facilities of the music technologies actively, to provide more effective music lessons and to increase the quality of the education as well as saving time. The basic usage steps of these software that can be easily used by teachers in music lessons were explained and supported with visuals.
