The phenomenon of touch and empathic experience

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the presentstudy is to analyse the implications of the phenomenon of touch starting from a husserlianperspective, assuming the special significance it has, on the one hand, with regard todimension of my own body and, on the other hand, with regard to the way I canexperience the other. Because the body (Leib) is necessary for sensory experience, thenit must have some relevance to any other experience, implicit to empathic experienceor, in other words, for how the other is perceived or experienced. In virtue of this fact,the body will be central to the appearance of the other in my field of experience.
