Summary/Abstract: Rituals formed related to the place, where the dead are buried have been among important subjects in folklore. It is known that for different expectations, many shrines are accepted as sacred, and visited. There are hundreds of shrines in Muş province. Thereupon, some practices have been formed related to the shrines of the scholars who directed spiritual life of the people in Mus. In this study, only the shrines whose sand is believed to be curative have been examined such as Şeyitlik, Zerzemi, Şeyh Reşit Shrines. These sacred places are believed to cure some illnesses if visited. There is no information in written sources about an important amount of the shrines mentioned in this study, or only their names are mentioned. Hence, our study is based on a field study. Sources of information are the people who live around shrines or those who have visited these places in various times.
