Reconstruction of Weapons and Equipment of the Warrior of Kamen Culture in 2nd Century BC (by materials of burial ground Kamen-II)

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the reconstruction of the weapon, military and horse equipment on materials of a barrow no. 15, grave 5 of Kamen-II which is the basic burial ground of Kamen culture on the territory of Forest-steppe Altai. The history of studying of this site is briefly given, the questions connected with dating of the chosen object are raised. It is worth noting that artistic figure, as one type of graphic reconstruction becomes nowadays more and more important in the study of military Affairs of ancient societies. This is due to its high sample capacity, which is achieved at the expense of realism and vividness of these images. The most promising from the methodical point of view is the reconstruction according to the materials of one of the gated complex, because it truly and accurately reflects vzaimosochetaemosti various items of equipment of a warrior and his horse in one set. This is due to the relevance of the presented work.
