Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the four year period after the Second World War, during which sovietisation of predominantly Slovene industry was a typical feature in the economy. Despite its shortness, this process left deep mots and strongly influenced the development of Slovene industry. The Soviet industrialisation mentality survived almost until the end of the second Yugoslav state. The political and economic break with the USSR and its satellites, as a result of the Yugoslav conflict with the Inform-Biureau. made the Yugoslav leadership aware that a further sovietisation would have made Slovene industry totally dependent on the East Bloc economy.
