The practice of medicine daily produces new information which is vital for society as a whole and for the individual patient. Doctor-patient communication is governed by a number of legal and ethical principles. One of the fundamental rights of patients is to be informed, to have guaranteed access to information about their health, about possible health decisions and consequences.
