Summary/Abstract: The paper provides initial insight into the oeuvre of zograph Theodosij of Veles, who has been known only by a signed votive painting at the Church of the Holy Virgin at Novo Selo near Štip. Based on the data in its extensive inscription and the stylistic analysis, we are of the opinion that dozens of the icons currently exhibited at the galleries of two churches in Štip, had been painted by Theodosij. Following his creative works, we have come to a conclusion that he has worked both in Macedonia and Serbia (icons and murals) between the 1820s and 1840s.
