Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on separate estates in matrimony given the constant level of income maintenance by presenting brief history and the current condition of this institution. The articles describes, in accordance with the chronological order of relevant legal provisions, possibilities and application of adequate provisions, in particular, by addressing the issue of a spouse’s consent to dispose of the elements of estate, while maintaining the constant level of income. This work describes this institution in Germany, Finland, and in Switzerland.
