Summary/Abstract: One's occupation is one of the most important aspects of life. People spend most of their time working at their job. The more occupational satisfaction people have the more effective they will be in reaching the objectives of the job and also it is important get pleasure out of life. Religious official which is one of the legal occupational groups in Turkey has material and spiritual dimensions. In this paper, the levels of occupational satisfaction of religious officials who work for the Presidency of Religious Affairs are examined in accordance with some variables. For this purpose, a “Personal Information Questionnaire” and the “Scale of Occupational Satisfaction” were applied to religious officials who work in Çorum city centre and surrounding villages in September 5 and 8, 2011. For the analysis of the data collected from the questionnaire and the scale, T-test, analysis of variance and Post Hoc Multiple Comparisons tests were used. It was found that occupational satisfaction mean scores significantly differed according to some variables such as assigned position, place of duty, the salary, attitude of the supervisor, relationships with colleagues. However, these scores didn't differ much in terms of the variables such as gender, age, educational level, seniority, use of annual leave, professional knowledge and skills.
