Summary/Abstract: Understanding the process of homemaking is a subject that appears over and over again in migration studies, as much as in migrants’ lives. Based on in-depth interviews with migrant professionals from Macedonia in Germany, this paper aims to understand in what ways migrant professionals relate to the idea of “home” in their places of destination in a context of 21st century urban migration and what kind of implications the results of this study might have for the ways “home” is conceptualized in today’s policy-work.
