Summary/Abstract: The author concludes that the 1941 occupation was the greatest turning point in the hitherto history of Slovenia. The occupation radically changed people's lives in all spheres of their activity, especially on the German occupied territory. For most Slovenes, whose ethnic identity was destined for annihilation by the occupiers, the period of struggle for mere survival began.
