Summary/Abstract: Mount Nif (Olympos) Research and Excavation Project is in the common boundaries of İzmir province, Kemalpaşa, Torbalı and Buca districts. It is located in the east of Izmir (Smyrna) bay. In the north there is Kemalpaşa (Nif / Kryos Brook) plain and Manisa (Sipylos) Mountain; in the east there is the Karabel Passage connecting Smyrna-Sardis road to the Küçük Menderes (Kaystros) valley; in the south there is Baghdad plain (Tulunay 2006). Excavations have been carried out in four different areas. The periods of these 4 different excavation areas are also different from one another. When the skeletons collected from the excavations without considering the period were evaluated, a total of 97 individuals were identified. In addition, demographic studies were conducted in each area. Of the identified individuals, 50 were male, 17 were female, 10 were child and 4 were infants.
