Summary/Abstract: Parental authority is the main means of child protection. To achive child protection the legislator has granted a series of rights and duties to the parents and which are part of the parental authority content. Not respecticing parental duties can attract certain sanctions specific to civil law. In the present study we analized how to exercise parental authority and on the reasons that may lead to the decline of the parental authority exercise.
