Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the analysis of some legal acts and literature. Its purpose is to present consideration cross-border shopping phenomena on European Union consumer policy after 2007. Some legal regulations of the union law concerning cross-border consumer agreements were discussed. In the article indicate some pitfalls are indicated, regarding cross-border purchasing that the consumer can encounter. The next section of the paper shows the influence of cross-border shopping on nowadays European Union consumer policy. It is highlighted that awareness of pursuing claims has an influence on safe cross-border purchasing. The last part of the paper is a conclusion and includes consideration about real safety of consumers while making cross-border agreements.
