Summary/Abstract: The author highlights a reorganisational restructuring in the Slovene cultural organisations in the period of transformation from the Habsburg Empire to the new Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in 1918. He describes the establishment, growth and decline of a number of organisations that united Slovene writers, painters and sculptors as well as musicians in the first Yugoslav state.
