Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the studies on artificial intelligence in higher education that are developing at a great pace in recent years. Intelligence can be defined as a very general mental ability that consists of many elements, including reasoning, planning, problem solving, abstract thinking, understanding complex thoughts, fast learning, and learning through experience. Today technology evolves into a new world of design through artificial intelligence and quantum computing. In this context, artificial intelligence is a field of study that deals with methods to ensure that human intelligence is imitated by the computer. Courses in AI usually cover subjects like machine learning, robotics, data sciences learning about technological advancements’ changes how people live and interact with machines. In this respect, although, there is a wide gap in the level of information in local higher education compared with western developed countries like US, North Cyprus higher education has made remarkable achievements in infrastructure, key technologies, information technology, and standards construction in recent years. At the referred point, this study used a content analysis methodology to analyse the websites of all the universities in North Cyprus for Artificial Intelligence Studies. With the content analysis main subject areas of Artificial Intelligence studies were examined. Additionally, for the aim of comparison, the data from top ten universities in US are exposed according to referred artificial intelligence study related subject areas.
