Summary/Abstract: The two articles describe discuss some questions of the flexion of local names that are genetically adjectival and functionally nominal, either in Polish or, broadly, within the Slavonic languages. There are two models of flexion that are proper to such names. They result from the adjectival structure of formation and nominal function of names. Among average language users the variant inflectional forms give rise to question about their linguistic correctness. The examples of teachers’ incompetence with regard to onomastic grammar prove that they cannot general language users to understand such problems. The reasons for this state of affairs should be seen in the quality of education and unwillingness to self-education.
