Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to solve the problems connected with the question: is the Polish economythreatened by a financial disaster and devastation of the budget as a result of additional governmentspending on the 2016 Family 500+ program, i.e. carrying out to the scientific analysis of the main pointsof the criticism of the government economic program. The presented research results were createdthanks to the development of the concept of an additional fiscal stimulus contributing to the developmentof J.M. Keynes’s theory. Launching this stimulus did not breach the condition of fiscal stability ofthe system and thus there was no risk of a financial disaster. The success of the economic experiment oflaunching an additional fiscal stimulus in the budget deficit situation was achieved because Keynesianhouseholds dominate in the Polish economy and, therefore, the fiscal multiplier is greater than one. Themultiplier mechanism then generates a significant tax effect. As a result, the funding shortfall turnedout to be less than 50% of the value of the fiscal stimulus. Also, the decrease in the budget deficit, comparedto its planned amount indicated in the 2016 budget law, did not confirm the view that the currentgovernment’s economic policy would lead to the devastation of the budget.
