Summary/Abstract: Technology is becoming easier and more available, but is not yet intuitive enough; socio-demographic factors such as educational qualifications, age and income have a decisive influence on the adoption and dissemination of new technologies, especially in the use of PCs and the Internet. As our perspective on education expands, from a learning environment limited by the four walls to an on-line learning environment, and the classical conception of the teaching-learning process is changing. Beyond traditional teaching methods, a way to highlight teacher's didactic competence relates to the use of the electronic portfolio. Sensor and transducers study is one of the fundamental courses found in all electrical engineering and most science programs. New technologies applied in medicine bring major changes in investigative strategies and in the efficiency of treatments, as well as in the psychological implications induced by patients by the medical act. The use of sensors has emerged imminently with the development of microelectronics, adding a new perspective to technical terminology with a certain redundancy. iWorx Teaching Kit enables biomedical engineering instructors using the National Instruments Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (ELVIS) to teach the theory and design and accommodate as well a wide range of sensors and biosensors. Both sensors and biosensors are extremely extensive research fields with direct application in medical practice. Most often use the computer in the middle teaching role is confused with e-learning application. The computer has a variety of capabilities and offers many advantages when used in the teaching process. What is important, however, knows these advantages, how to use the computer in lessons.
