Summary/Abstract: The main task of the paper is to show the importance of the historical research of the development of the Russian and Soviet sociology. This development was strong connected with political and social circumstances in this country. In the period of the War communism (1917—1921) the unmarxistical sociology was maintained without greater difficulties at the main of Russian universities. It was a period of pluralism of ideas when worked Sorokin, Berdiaew, Bulgakov etc. But in this period also a new bolshevist government tried to give its own social theory (historical materialism) and its own scientific cadar. The difficulties in the development of marxist sociology were that the concept of its object was not clear enough. On the other side it was wery clear that the main task in the teaching of sociology in this period should) be a popularization of a marxist-leninistic concept of the proletarian dictatorship, a class struggle and strategy and tectice of the party. The other thema of the article is the institutionalization of a marxist sociology. There are also analysed some conflicts between the old and new marxist intelligence. The end of the debate was a government decision to expel of the land a group of 161 intellectuals (literates, philosophers and sociologist). So was finished the first period of the development of the Soviet sociology and began the new phase of the Bolshevist ideas and political monism.
