Summary/Abstract: The new line of study – „Finance and Accounting” – was introduced four years ago on the basis of the previous programme – „Finance and Banking”. Major cur-ricula are the same as those suitable for „Finance and Banking”; they were copied without taking into account the expectations of the future accounting professionals. The finance subjects dominate in the curriculum. For the purpose of the full-time studies curricula evaluation, six universities were chosen. At the first level of studies the subjects are similar. However, at the second degree studies there is a great variety of subjects, reflecting the staff professional specialization. In the opinion of students the studies are too theoretical. There is a need to in-crease the number of hours of practical classes in accounting, so as to balance the curricula with finance subjects.
