Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurs who are one of the important factors of the economy need to be supported in order to develop the national economy, to create new business opportunities and to ensure the continuity of the business opportunities. Entrepreneur is the person initiating the innovation; creating possibilities and establishing his/her own business with the ability of being productive, creating opportunities under the conditions of risk and uncertainty (Soylu et al., 2015: 313-314, Türkoğlu et al., 2017: 2). Entrepreneurs are individuals at the key of local development, who have the ability to create innovation through their ability to create employment and to see unseen. In today's economy, it is desired that in organizations trying to keep pace with the increasing competition conditions, employees in order to capture and sustain success, should show efficiency in their group works. The social loafing term as an organizational behavior expresses that individuals work less than expected in a group and they fall in unproductivity tendency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between social loafing and entrepreneurial characteristics. For this purpose, the study was conducted through the one-on-one interview and survey method among the business managers operating within the Erdemli Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the light of the findings of the study, it can be said that there is a statistically significant relationship between entrepreneurial characteristics and social loafing tendency and also the commitment for the economical capital elements of the participants while establishing a business are determined. It is believed that the study has a significance in terms of its involvement in a research that explores entrepreneurs at the local level and uses mixed research method.
