Summary/Abstract: Today, the spread of personal data has gained accelerate worldwide with technological developments. Technology makes it difficult to anonymize personal data while shortening distances between individuals through personal data. Together with technological developments, some legal, political and economic reasons cause the owners to collect, record and store at a low cost, whether they are the recipients of personal data or not. It is important to take the necessary precautions to protect personal data against these developments which threaten legal security and facilitate the supervision of persons. One of these measures is the establishment of national institutions to protect personal data. With the impact of the EU accession process, No. 6698 Law on the Protection of Personal Data entered into and the national Personal Data Protection Authority has established on April 7, 2016.
