Summary/Abstract: The culture, seen as one of the prerequisites of modernization since the Republican Period, has affected the art policies, and directed the Turkish intellectuals and artists to find a “national identity”. Efforts to build a national art were discussed with this policy by the government, intellectuals and artists of the time; therefore various ideas were presented. In this study, the influences of national art efforts formed by the effects of the Republican Period policies on the Turkish Drawing art are studied. Quality of the events performed within the scope of the art policies of the government, and their contributions to the art environment of the time are also studied.
