Summary/Abstract: Turgutlu had come into existence as a Türkmen’s settlement and from 17th. century, Ottomans made Turgutlu an important settlement. The advantage of social and economic conditions has an imporatant influence on this. Its population and physical area contionued to grow in the 17th. Century as well. In this paper, the factors that affect the development and details of some events will be investiageted.
