Summary/Abstract: For his relatively short political history, the presidential institution has established itself as a significant factor in the political life of the country. It is developing dynamically and continues to be firmly established in the state management. This has to do with the idea of sustaining the principles of the parliamentary republic as a model of government in Bulgaria.
